A major 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit eastern New Guinea, Papua New Guinea on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 07:13:50 UTC, at a depth of 208.2 km (129.4 mi).  This is the eleventh major (> 5.9) earthquake to hit in the last six days!

 USGS:  A major 6.7 earthquake hit the Eastern New Guinea region of Papua New Guinea on 10/14/11 at 03:35:15 UTC, at a depth of 45.4 km (28.2 mi).

Commentary:  "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be earthquakes in various places and there will be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows" Mark 13:8.
